Makuta, Inc. is the only micro molding company in the world certified to manufacture products made with DuPont™ Vespel Materials.

Additionally, we are the only micro molding company in the world certified to manufacture products made with DuPont™ Vespel® materials. Vespel® grade materials have a melting point of 430°C (806°F). This material is designed to provide products for applications where conditions are too extreme for other polymers to perform. Vespel material “satisfies the most stringent requirements for weight reduction, long service life, chemical exposure, extreme temperatures, or custom made quality micro molded components.” Parts micro molded with Vespel material have proven to be a cost-effective solution in a wide array of applications, including Aerospace, Industrial, Office Machines, Pumps, Semiconductor, and Transportation. High temperature micro molded components can replace steel components in a variety of applications.

Custom research and development molds have been fabricated for the Vespel product line. These molds allow very fast prototype part turn around. Vespel product and mold design has been developed in conjunction with the DuPont Vespel Products Division.

Surgical_Ultem_Barb_StopThis medical component is also micro injection molded at at 400°C (752°F). It is a 0.0772-gram Ultem (polyetherimide) barb stop used in an endoscopic device for removing polyps and/or lesions that lie within the gastrointestinal tract of humans.
